Sealove - If You Let It
This is the final track for the RPM Challenge! It took me so long to finish The Goodbye Ghost and it went to so many reiterations. For example, I had begin writing songs for that album when it was called Our Summer Home right after I graduated from college nearly two years ago.
Although this album (which I have called Too Young!) has been hastily recorded and written, I’m still pretty excited about it. If anything, at least I like it.

I know I’m a few days behind on this (Valentine’s Day and this week have totally passed me by!) But the new A Pile of Lo-Fi! is out. As always, it’s another collection of brilliant songs. I may not like Valentine’s Day, but I love APOLF!

I was featured on the first RPM Challenge podcast (first track too!) Take a listen, it’s a playlist full of some amazing musicians and so many genres too.
I’m really enjoying my time working on the RPM Challenge, it’s been kind of struggle the past few days to come up with new songs, but hopefully some more inspiration will strike. Only three more songs to go!
This afternoon I was able to do a quick little sound check at tinySTAGE. I’m getting really excited for the show on Friday. The gallery is small but spectacular and I was able to get a little preview of some of the pieces and they’re amazing.

Please come! I’ve been practicing in front of Dr. P the cat for the past week. He has been questioning his Cat God on why he was paired up with two amateur performers. Poor kitty must sit through my roommate’s stand up comedy routine and my song sets.
I joined the RPM Challenge yesterday evening, for the next 28 days I will be trying my hardest to write and record 10 songs or 35 minutes of music.

In other news, I had a dream that a present day Paul McCartney was staying at my parent’s house. I was super excited to have him as a guest and I kept asking him things like, “how do you like Ohio?” and “can I get you anything?” and he was just very brief and then announced that he was going to go to bed.
